I loved the idea behind this story. Loved Addie. Loved the writing style. If it hadn't bogged a little bit in the middle - 3/4ths section, it would have been a 5 star read. As it is, it was still a terrific book.

This. Book.
This memoir both hits home and is completely eye opening. It's a heartbreaking account of first love, self discovery and same-sex domestic abuse. What really got me was the unique writing style and prose. Written in both first and second person POV with poetry and even a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure chapter, this was interesting and so powerful to read.
Highly, highly recommend!
so-soThere are 15 stories by 15 different authors in this anthology. I expected at least some of them to feature Sookie, but she was only briefly in one of them. Of the lot, 3 of them were moderately enjoyable. The remaining 12 varied from so-so to pointless filler. A waste of an audible credit. ☹

Eh, maybe it's because I hadn't read Practical Magic. But I struggled to care about any of the people in this book. It wasn't bad. But it wasn't great either.

This has been done. Again and again and again. I love an unreliable narrator but the characters were "meh" and the twists weren't that twisty. I shouldn't be able to figure out the ending of a book in the first 25% ?♀️
