Word for Day 20 of #ScarathlonDailyPrompts was Murder.

I‘m pretty much obsessed with true crime cases, especially the Kennedy assassinations.

Pickpick

I'm an avid reader of anything Kennedy related. I found this book to be exhaustively researched, there was so much information packed into the chapters and some bits were rather dry to read but such is the nature of true crime investigations. I found myself agreeing that the main theories in the book were maybe a little out there, but plausible. It was well worth a read but it's definitely a heavy read mentally. 4🌟

Noting this book down for #somethingaboutsocialjustice as alot of the people highlighted in this book championed social justice.

Finished this for #booked2020 #redwhiteorbluetypeoncover. Gordon Brown writes about courage through the lives of these 8 people.
I appreciated the essays about the people I knew the least about as it broadened my knowledge.

Cinfhen Oh, this looks brilliant!!!! My grandmother was part of the Raoul Wallenberg memory preservation society, so seeing his name brought me back about 25 years😆#stacked I‘m curious to learn about the others!! 4y
Smarkies @Cinfhen he was one of those that I was not familiar with. The essays are each about 20ish pages long so they are quite digestible. 4y

The Kennedy obsession continues! And if I had not started watching The Crown on Netflix, I might not want to know more about Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip .But now I do!😀🙄2 dollars each in a Library bookstore.

Mccall0113 I loved the crown! 5y
Eggs You must be my book twin for I have the same obsessions: jfk assassination, QE2/Philip (and Titanic too) 🤗 5y

A tough read - especially through the early years. It‘s rewarding to finish and definitely has me longing for what could have been.

A fictional take on the affairs between Marilyn Monroe & the Kennedy brothers. I love anything MM or JFK related, but I didn‘t expect this to be much good, so I was surprised how readable this was.

The brief sex scenes made me cringe a bit, & attitudes are somewhat dated (it was published over 25 years ago) but for the most part, the author portrayed the characters fairly well. Rating: 4🌟

The only #Boston related books I've read are about the Kennedys or the Red Sox.
