I‘ll always recommend White Oleander to anyone and everyone and it does have the strong female characters she‘s looking for and family drama. Same for burn our bodies down. All books have strong female characters and for me they were all 5 star books 🌻

I recommend a few: Ask Again, Yes (Mary Beth Keane), A Man Called Ove (really anything by Fredrik Backman), A Prayer for Owen Meany (John Irving), The Grace Year (Kim Liggett), The Grief Keeper (Alexandra Villasante), The Bell Jar (Sylvia Plath). The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo has super strong female leads and is AWESOME (Taylor Jenkins Reid). #recsforbecks

I really enjoyed these 4 books/ gripping, compelling and insightful

I loved this book. I devoured it and wanted more. It is a mix of horror, dystopia, survival and feminism. Girls are sent away for their grace year to the woods to get all of their magic out of their systems. They must survive each other, the elements, and poachers. It is brutal and creepy but oh so impossible to look away from.
I recommend this book to everyone. I gave it to my friends for Christmas. It is amazing.

I recommend the tagged book because it‘s one of my all-time favorites. I‘ve read it many times now and am always swept up in the lyricism and otherworldliness of it, similar to The Alchemist in that sense.
