Here's my #Nov16stats. All in all quite successful. I knocked off a couple of the big reads I've had on my #tbr list for awhile and even read my first #graphicnovel ever! best read from this month, it is a toss up between Salman Rushdie's "Satanic Verses" and the extremely well done graphic novel "Trinity" which gives the science and history about the atomic bomb. #sciencebooks #novemberreads
Here are my stats for November--clearly I needed lighter reads this month! My most serious read was Atonement for book club-- beautifully written, but tooooo sad for this time of year, and for this month especially. It's not the best response, but the news this month has me retreating into escapism. 23 of them were either children's books or manga haha. Looking at reading challenges, such as Read Harder, I've noticed I have very constricted reading list. Unintentionally of course, my tbr list is just so long and I want to read all these old books and it's difficult to branch out because there are SO many books to be read that aren't on my list!! But I should branch out more, there are only so many fantasy novels one can read... #nov16stats

It felt like a good deal of what I read this month related to the election in some way, but these two especially. ITCWL is about immigration, SGT is about racism.
My favorite bookish things that have happened this month are the TX book fest and all of the secret Santa groups. I love Litsy, and this community of like minded folks! Thank you all!

Due mainly to some active hiding away w/a book rather than engaging w/others beyond Litsy. Some great books/audio books including my above 3 best of the month & The Library at Mount Char, Gulp, Stiff, & In the Blue Hour. I knocked 5 off my initial November TBR stack & hit my Goodreads goal this month too. 📚❤️👍
