Read this one last July before watching the tv show adaptation. Too bad season 2's cancelled.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When I first read this book many years ago, I absolutely loved the story, characters, and humor. I still feel the same after reading this for the second time, however it did lose a little bit of its magic after the initial read. Regardless, I still really enjoy this book and look forward to watching the new television series based off of it!

Absolutely LOVED the My Lady Jane adaptation on Prime. Easily one of the best shows of the year, and I love a mix of genres.

zezeki I watched it too recently, and loved it a lot! I will probably rewatch it this weekend. 😄 5mo
LeeRHarry I thought it was fantastic too! 5mo
Matilda @zezeki not a bad plan! I hope it gets a second season. 5mo

Matilda @LeeRHarry I‘m SO glad it did both of having a complete ending and also left doors open for another season, which I hope it gets. 5mo

My initial thoughts on My Lady Jane are as chaotic as the show--though maybe not as successfully--but here they are. https://youtu.be/GvHuwBIUN_Y

I have read quite a bit about Jane, and only one or two other books about Katherine and Mary, so I was kept interested. With regards to Elizabeth I, this book sure looked at a different side to her, where she was so very worried about being outsted by others in her family to take over the throne. Katherine and Mary were next in line since Elizabeth had no children (alongside Mary of Scots). I listened to the audio and had no problem with it.

@MittenGirlPeach chose cozy English Christmas as the theme and nailed it! I confess- I‘ve never had lemon curd- what do I do with it? Thank you so much! #staycationintime

Chrissyreadit 😍😍😍😍 1y
DinoMom Lovely package. My grandmother always made lemon curd. She used it on a lot of things. Put it in tart shells, on her ice cream or would dip short bread cookies in it when having her afternoon tea 1y
MittenGirlPeach I‘m so good you like everything! What a great idea for a staycation; I may steal it next year. I‘m a tea and toast lover, and I use the curd on toast. I also put it on scones and ice cream. I love the idea of putting it on shortbread cookies! 1y
squirrelbrain Yes, lemon curd on toast. In the UK we use it like jam (jelly!). 1y
