Arresting God in Kathmandu | Samrat Upadhyay

Mehso-so

If you don‘t mind short stories with zero resolution, this is the book for you. The stories convey a lot about life in #Nepal, but other than that, every story disappoints—they just end. The author also includes at least one se*ual act, whether the story needs it or not, in almost every story. I can‘t recommend this book, but it may work for others. Fortunately it‘s a pretty quick read. #foodandlit @Catsandbooks

I‘m still in Margo‘s world from Margo‘s Got Money Troubles and I need a graphic novel break before I can move to my next novel.
Beautiful illustrations!

Pickpick

Volume 7 brings the 18-days war to a close. This was an emotional roller coaster.

Yudhisthira‘s foolishness almost costs him the kingdom. With no choice left but deceit, Krishna advises Bhima to break dharma in the fight.

This act brings into focus the many times the Pandavas & Krishna perpetrate immoral acts in the name of “the greater good”.

The Pandavas end up the winners of a broken & grieving kingdom; with a bleak future awaiting them.

For those of you in #Bookedintime who enjoyed the author and Indian setting, I recommend this one, set in ancient Indian, it is a myth retelling of a woman married to five brothers. The story is interesting and adventurous, and the characters are royal but likable.
