I just devoured this book. Once I started reading, I was completely transported to 1890s Victorian London, and I did not want to leave. Sarah Perry painted a vivid, lush story of science, faith, superstition, medicine & religion. I found the characters engaging and the storyline fascinating. I enjoyed the historical components making this book even richer in detail and depth. Can not wait to read her new book Melmoth.

The Boy Who Drew Monsters: A Novel | Keith Donohue

This book is so creepy. The setting is brilliant for a creepy story. Dark and wet and chilly enough to add to your goosebumps. Perfect for a day when you don‘t feel good and just want to curl up with a fuzzy blanket, some tea and a book. That shall be my day. This is one of those #blamelitsy reads.
