I‘ll tell you what I‘ve got to get OUT of my life: this Neverending Doom and Anxiety. Today I deleted Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and some peripheral social media apps from my phone. I‘m taking a social media sabbatical till September for the sake of my mental health.

On our way to the beach for family vacation! I‘m not really a sun, sand, & sea kinda girl, but the family wants what they want. So I searched for bookstores along the road trip, and found Lemuria Bookstore in Jackson, MS. They conceded a stop & it did not disappoint! I picked up this book randomly, only to find it a page turner that kept me up late last night & up early this morning to finish it. Hakans journey is an awesome one. I will be haunted by the image of him ( an incredible sight) , this legendary man , as he journeyed across America. His inner & outer landscapes mirroring each other. Arriving as a boy from Sweden at the time of the gold rush in the American west. My heart went out to this man. 👇🏻
