Hit a @Litsy milestone yesterday. Cracked the 10,000 mark. I originally got into Litsy because I wanted to find a social media I enjoy that isn‘t toxically overpopulated by other writers. Yes, I wanted to promote my writing (probably should promote more), but instead, I‘ve gotten a lot more reading done, did a reading challenge for the first time, found new podcasts, made friends, and discovered some books & authors I love. Glad to be here.

Since today's #Riotgrams is about "Books and Treats," I'm sharing this pic from my first book's release party. For treats, I bought some chocolate donuts with red icing from a local donut place. A half dozen of the donuts included red bats, the same shape and color of the symbol that the vampire hunter in my book wears on his t-shirt as a good luck charm. Shared this on Instagram today as Day Two for #AuthorLifeMonth. Today's theme was to share author photos. I took these pictures at the Canal Walk in Richmond, which is where my first novel, Gidion's Hunt, begins. I took the pictures myself, using the timer on my camera and a tripod. Getting a few really good pics required more than a hundred shots, most of which weren't useable.
