I confess that I do have a Sam Houston fetish. This book started it all. I haven't been doing the #augustphotochallenge but today is just too good to miss. I have all of my Sam Houston books and research right here. Along with a very few other favorites. I can sit here and NO ONE ever sees me ("Have you seen mom?") except the dogs, lol. Besides my house, my #faveplacetorelax are the AMC lodges in Maine near the 100 mile wilderness. We went to Little Lyford for the first time last year and are going to Gorman this year. No electricity or cell service, just gas lamps, a wood stove, and 3 meals a day. Heaven. #augustphotochallenge

I have a ginormous desk but my SO has taken it over and so I use our kitchen table instead. I read here or in bed because it central to food and my Pugs, Dunkin' & Donut so we can take breaks for walkies #augustofpages
