I just got done reading this book and it was very interesting take on Henry VIII's children and his great niece. It went in depth of each of the children and what happened during their reigns of England. I rated the book a 4 out of 5 stars.
Not really #AnarchyInTheUK , but Henry VIII‘s death didn‘t exactly leave a stable England. Edward VI was next in line, but the debatable question was the country‘s religion. Rebellions and persecutions ensued. Here‘s a biography on the “boy king,” whose death several years later really set England in a tailspin. #MarchIntoThe70s
Being so fascinated with the Tudors, I've read many books on the Tudor Era and this was very good. It was well written, easy to read and I found it quite factual. I recommend this to anyone wanting to learn about this part of British history.
Interesting and informative, but a little dry at times with a cast of thousands. The illustrations are great though. If you are interested, I would start with his book Reformation as this goes into a lot of a detail about a specific period whereas I found Reformation a little more accessible, although it serves more as an overview.
Rainy afternoon with the Tudors and scones.
