The #ParasolProtectorate read along has made it to the home stretch because it‘s now starting the #CustardProtocol series, of which Reticence will be the last book - and the last book in the universe. There are going to be more novellas, I think, but Carriger has another series with shifters and a new scifi-ish book so it‘ll be interesting to see what happens next.

It‘s the first book in the #CustardProtocol series, which takes place after the books of the Parasol Protectorate. The last book in the series, and the last book in the universe except for novellas, comes out this fall.

Romancing the Werewolf is out - it‘s Biffy and Lyall‘s story, then one that feels like the entire #ParasolProtectorate had been waiting a million years for. Gail Carriger has posted a deleted scene between Prudence and Lyall from the #CustardProtocol series and it nearly broke my heart because it alludes to why Lyall and Biffy aren‘t together. Anyway, you can buy this book now.

If you‘re interested in fun reads that have a dash of mystery, romance, & the supernatural then I recommend Carriger‘s series. In chronological order: #FinishingSchool, #ParasolProtectorate, and #CustardProtocol. There are novellas that fill in spots too. A lot of us started with the #ParasolProtectorate because that‘s what she wrote first. Only #time will tell if she connects the San Andreas Shifters series fully to the others. #30daysofreadathon

I‘m finally starting the #CustardProtocol series. It‘s on my #LitsyAtoZ list, which I‘ve rather neglected. Oops. Also, events take place in Prudence and Imprudence that will be spoiled if I don‘t read them before Carriger‘s next novella is released on November 5th.

Eight months ago I asked where Biffy‘s story was and on November 5th we‘ll have it in our hot little hands. The cover for Romancing the Werewolf has beenreleased and it‘s generating all sorts of excitement and theories in the #ParasolProtectorate FB group. The story is tied to Timeless and occurs after Imprudence chronologically. Guess I‘d better finally read the #CustardProtocol books.

If you are familiar with Gail Carriger's #FinishingSchool, #ParasolProtectorate, and #CustardProtocol series you should know that this series is a new direction for her writing. If you've read Marine Biology then you know some of the key characters for this series. This is a paranormal romance with decidedly adult content. It's super funny and the writing excellent. I'm already in love with it and I'm only 25% done.
