Faith is a great character, I really liked her. Read through this one really fast. ☺️

5/5⭐ I love the pack, I love Faith, I love her cousins, I love Channing, I love them together, I love the chapter titles, I love the many literal laugh-out-loud moments, I love the heartfelt, intimate themes. Gail Carriger is a gift. #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
What if I want him to throw me up against the wall and press against me with his whole body, as if he needed me to breathe?
Just, uh, saving this scene. For ~reasons~
“He insulted my rocks“ has the same energy as Jane from Disney's Tarzan saying “And Daddy, they took my boot!“ and I am absolutely gutted that this line is so contextual to the story that I can't properly share my joy with you.
This is a good addition to the world, and even though it picks up quite some time after the original series, the characters are familiar and it‘s great fun to see the arrogant Major Channing fall for an American. You should read the parasol protectorate first, but I don‘t think any of the following series or novels are required to enjoy. 4/5 stars, good character development, interesting stories, hope for a sequel.
I had read the original Parasol Protectorate books (or at-least the first 2-3) and I enjoyed this trip back to the world this novella. I have not read the Finishing School books, which tie in directly and that was not required reading. Would recommend heartily.
I thoroughly enjoyed this werewolf novella, it‘s hard but some author‘s can manage to pull off redemption stories for even their most cantankerous characters so that you are rooting for them to get their own happily ever after. I would have never thought it if Channing, but I definitely rooted for him in this story.
I‘m way behind in my #ParasolverseReadAlong but as I read the last book this weekend, I‘ll be sorry to see it end.
#SeriesRead
Woot! Woot! I've finished! 4,973 Pages. Yes I counted. Not so patiently waiting on August and Reticence. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

This is the last book in the #ParasolProtectorate readalong (started on 7/14) - the final book is out in August. There may be more novellas in this universe but full length books aren‘t planned, if I understand Carriger correctly. It‘s not too late to binge read and finish off the series with me!
While this wasn‘t my favorite Carriger romance, I really enjoyed these two characters and hope we see them pop up in other places.
A sweet and fun novella, featuring geology based romance! I loved seeing the dynamics of the Greenwich pack and Alpha Biffy. The cat wasn‘t too impressed though! #catoflitsy
Yet another amazing and delightful story from Gail Carriger! I literally adore everything she writes and this is no exception! She reminds me of P.G. Wodehouse with her sharp wit and wonderful phrases. Such a charming and truly heartfelt story!
Thank you so much @Eyelit what a wonderful surprise today! This is definitely a #BlameItOnLitsy find, I loved her Soulless steampunk series, and didn‘t even realize she had written a spin off story from one of its most cranky characters until I saw it here. I can‘t wait to dig into this!
...after I finish my last few for 2018 challenges of course 😂

Ok, this is on sale against the author‘s wishes. It‘s a new book so she argued with her publisher to not put it on sale yet. I bought it when it was released (that explains the read now button) but I thought maybe some Littens would be interested. If we could drum up enough interest maybe that will help an author out! 😀
I LOVED this book. Sign me up for anything Gail Carriger writes. Strong, independent American woman with crappy parents meets stubborn, grumpy British werewolf. What follows is a funny, cute and highly engaging steampunk story of love and intrigue. 😻
I'm back!!! Who else is doing @24in48 this weekend? I'm attempting it for my first time, and I got a little ambitious with my stack! I'm a super slow reader, so we'll see how it goes! 2 hours down, 22 to go! #24in48readathon #24in48
A lot of fun, read it in one sitting. I had one quibble with Channing's backstory but it came up in like the last ten pages so it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the rest. So fun to revisit the pack!
Just started the latest Carriger! I love her books but this is the first of the spinoff novellas I've tried. How cute are these little werewolf in top hat section breaks? 🐺🎩
I really enjoy these little novellas she‘s doing. It‘s nice to catch up with some of your favorite characters. I‘m also a sucker for happily every after, so these are perfect.
OMG! Loved this 🖤🖤
So glad I discovered the Parasolverse. Love the short stories that fill in the gaps.
