November 9: A Novel | Colleen Hoover
post image
Panpan

This book contains numerous forced coincidences, especially concerning specific date[ 9th November.] I have mixed feelings about it. While I believe it‘s meant to be a romance intertwined with mental health issues, the coincidences feel overdone, making the story seem forced and less authentic. It‘s an okay read, but I think Colleen Hoover could have done much better.

Pickpick

Very, very in your face spicy from page 1. I might not otherwise have continued, but I wanted to see why the person who loaned it to me loved it; then it became enthralling. Feyi is a 5year survivor of a traumatic accident that took the life of her husband. She is just now beginning to overcome and return to life when she meets Alim, who understands her completely.

#Two4Tuesday

1. I was the student that actually liked doing homework…and then I decided I liked school so much I went to graduate school. So yeah, a pretty good student.

2. The tagged book is one of my all time favorite YA books by one of my all time favorite authors with one of my all time favorite covers (which I once had a very memorable conversation about with Dan Santat).

2. Enjoyed this, Rachel is a college student that works in a bookstore - living the dream.

Mehso-so

Considering how long I had this book on my digital shelf, I feel it was ok.
Admitting it's ok is a hard thing to say considering how the book starts which has a very emotional and hard scene to read which can be triggering to some as it involves a tragic car accident but it feels like the rest of the book is at odds and anticlimactic not to mention has more flashbacks then present tense moments so it can feel abrupt at different times.
