I wasn't expecting my #currentread to apply to the #catpeople prompt, but then the preacher narrator recounts the time as a kid when he baptized a few kittens after they were fitted in a doll's dress. Nothing like a serendipitous cat baptism to close out a great #septembowie month- thanks @Marchpane for being a terrific host! Also, I loved the Bowie trivia @TrishB @Cinfhen looks like another great month of music and books in (ahem) the books.

The very first thing that the song #CatPeople brings to mind is the scene in Inglourious Basterds when it starts playing as Shosanna Dreyfus sets her plan in motion to put out the fire of the Third Reich with gasoline.

A pick for this 3rd book & the series. Harris wrote it as a trilogy but I'd be happy if she continued. Not my favorite of her series but I liked the characters-both new & those that popped up from other books & the humor. This book gets points for plenty of Quinn 🐯& between the weretigers & Mr. Snuggly (Fiji's snarky😼familiar with special talents), there are cats & #catpeople so I'm using it for today's #septembowie prompt. Max❤️Mr. Snuggly too.

So far, it's not working. #Septembowie #catpeople Tom Tom said he hasn't had time to read it yet,grooming ,sleeping , and eating takes up 99.99% of his time.😺

Carbonel is the king of cats - and probably thinks he should be the king of people - so he demands to be included today. I loved this book as a kid and bought a copy to read to my kids (must do that!)
