Well, what can I say. Every gory scene you can think of, so many twists and bad decisions and miserable lives.
I‘m not sure I enjoyed it, but couldn‘t stop reading.

Finally getting around to this one @batsy , I think it‘s 2 years now sinse I received this book from you ..... the time feels just right .. 👍🏻❤️ I‘m a little scared , but I like that too 😉I‘ll keep you posted
I have my books planned for the 2019 #ReadingWomenChallenge now, too. 😃 Almost all are from my existing tbr, and every one of them is by a female author.
Together with my planned books for #Booked2019 and #Popsugar2019 I have exactly 100 books scheduled for next year. That should still leave me time for at least 50 other books I can choose as I go. So, I‘m probably done signing up for 2019 challenges now. Possibly. Maybe. 😂
@BarbaraTheBibliophage I actually completed the fall part of #Booked18 on time!! I fact I only have two more to go to complete the whole shebang!! Yes!
I put the flannel sheets on my bed a week ago, but tonight is the night. I‘m breaking out my winter PJs. As much as I hate winter, there‘s nothing better than snuggling up with a book in a cozy bed.
I chose my current book because it fits the #booked18 prompt for a protagonist over 70. And plus how amazing is that cover. And PLUS the 84 year old MC is named Florence. 😍 I‘m only three chapters in but I‘m feeling it‘s a five star read. 🤞🏻
This is old-fashioned in the best of ways. It‘s a classic English country house murder mystery, with a dash of the gothic thrown in too. Part Dame Agatha, part Dame Daphne.
A remote crumbling manor house, a sinister housekeeper, a family with hidden secrets-it‘s all here.
I liked Ware‘s debut, was so-so on her next two, but finally I feel like she‘s earned her reputation as the “Modern-day Agatha Christie” with this.

I couldn't resist pulling out this book while eating my fav peach galette 🍑 Reading this for #booked18 #childhoodfavorite ... I had trouble picking between this, The BFG, and Matilda but this movie is so vivid in my mind I felt like I had to read the book again. Anyone else remember the live action part where James is eating that huge chunk of peach? Just me??? 😆
My pick for #steampunk #booked18 but I can‘t review it, because this is also the book for my #lmpbc #groupT
Airplane read #1....nope, not for me. I liked the premise; family drama, multigenerational, life‘s ups and downs but over 200 pages in and still nothing was happening that hooked me...as much as I wanted to care about the family (honestly, I don‘t remember their surname) I bailed. It was my first Anne Tyler and probably my last.
I‘m on a self-imposed #bookbuyingban at the moment. I‘m going for 3 months (until April 4th), but the struggle is soooo real right now! 😩
Any tips for how to survive the next 6 weeks?
