TheAromaofBooks If it's a book I enjoy, I love rereads. It's like visiting old friends for me. The tension of needing to know WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT isn't there, so I'm able to relax and enjoy the story a lot more. I'm one of those weird people who usually doesn't mind spoilers! 😂 4y

Chrissyreadit @TheAromaofBooks I love spoilers! I do not like unhappy or unresolved endings. And I‘m more likely to read a book if I know the story because I‘m more about the characters than the plot. 4y

TheAromaofBooks I'm the same way. I don't usually look up spoilers for things like thrillers or mysteries, but ironically books that many people wouldn't consider suspenseful, like romance or literary fiction, I frequently check the ending to make sure things turn out “right“ - I'm especially that way if the story is about a married couple having a rough patch. I don't like reading books that end in divorce so I don't want to read it they aren't happy in the end! 4y

This is the time of the month where I realize I am running out of month!! 😂 #WeeklyForecast - reading the tagged book (#LMPBC) & also NEED to read Nine (due for review by 9/25) & Beach Read (also #LMPBC). Virtual Unicorn is due at the library by the end of the week as well. Thankfully all 4 are also on #BookSpinBingo ... although none will actually give me a bingo!! Ah well, there is always next month!

Book 4 finished for #AwesomeAugust Readathon

To be honest, I read this book as fast as possible to get through it. The writing was really clunky and I found a lot of issues with it. The men bickering and fighting were really annoying. The storyline itself was interesting and I liked all the creatures that showed up.

Not saying anything more so our #LMPBC group can enjoy it. (Hopefully more than me).

Laughterhp Honestly, any of these sound good. I haven‘t read Tanya Huff in like 8 years! I used to love her Vampire series. Snow also sounds really good or the Terry Pratchett one. 4y

Sace @Laughterhp I can't tell you how long ago I bought these books. I've been meaning to read them for way too long. I think all of them are meant for younger audiences. Hope that's OK. 4y

Laughterhp That‘s okay. I only get annoyed when they are “too YA” and none of these sound like they will be. The Storytellers Daughter sounds a lot like The Wrath and the Dawn, so I don‘t know if I would like that one.

Sace @Laughterhp I guess my worry is that the book is almost 20 years old so I don't know how well it will hold up to scrutiny? I mean, reading on my own is fine but I'll be passing it on to others and don't want to spread anything negative and/or be judged 😂 4y

Summon the Keeper has such a Pratchettesque absurdity about it. I didn't think I'd dislike it, but I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do. It's clever and funny and if you enjoy Discworld with its weirdness and magic and quirkiness than this should be right up your alley.
