One of the more interesting pieces I saw yesterday as a hobbled my way around the museum. Palmer‘s “Indian Girl, or The Dawn of Christianity” where she supposedly is hit by a spiritual bolt of lightning by finding a cross in the woods. Beautiful statue, sad re-writing of history. #themet #nyc

ImperfectCJ Probably this says not-good-things about my relationship with technology, but at first glance I thought she was looking at a phone. 2y

I found a Metropolitan museum of art guide from 1989 while I was thrifting. This painting is so beautiful

Visited the Met in NYC yesterday and was very impressed with the extensive collection of books to purchase. #GiftShopLibrary

DivineDiana @Leftcoastzen It really is! ❤️ 6y
Velvetfur I've been there! Not the museum itself cos I wasn't gonna pay 25 dollars when I was a bit skint (!) but loved the bookshop 😂 6y
DivineDiana Yes, it is pricey, but the Heavenly Bodies fashion exhibit, that is there until October 9, is definitely worth the price of admission!!! So beautiful! Such attention to detail! Like walking in a dream! 6y
