I‘m stuck in a long queue in a government office and all i can think about are my shelves. 😭 i left them in this state last night bec i was too tired after over an hour of trying to bookstagram my haul. 😂😂😂. I WANT TO GO HOME!

I totally enjoyed this nerdy romance--think Penny Reid, or The Rosie Project. The heroine, Kaya, is a grad student in molecular genetics who conducts a field test in relationships, since she's never had one. Abs, I mean, sale alert! (Pic is for a future book cover). Beginner's Guide is 0.99 on Amazon right now. You'd want to one-click this book which I picked up because I saw Courtney Milan raving about it. From my review: "Nerdy, sweet and cute, this book is an enjoyable romance with strong Filipino values. I‘m glad to have discovered a STEM romance that is set in the Philippines."

Cafe hopping, postcard-ing and Kindle sampling. I've been wanting to try this watermelon strawberry cake and it didn't disappoint! Brought some postcards to write in while hanging out there... an old gentleman sitting in the next table told me it's nice to see someone writing on postcards when most people are engrossed in their gadgets. Made me realize how much I missed sending postcards.

Ahh, kinda in a reader's slump. I thought a romance novel might loosen the block's hold. Then, while puttering around on NPR, hoping to catch up on current events, I ended up reading their book reviews instead and found an article published on the 1st about STEM romance novels. This one appealed to me (because it was $3 on the Kindle)

This Filipino romance came highly recommended by Courtney Milan, who was raving about this on Twitter. While I didn't love it as much as she did, I found it to be sweet and cute in a really nerdy way. This was a romance between two flawed individuals who seem to have personalities that are poles apart, but who really just want to find someone who can see and appreciate their true selves. #romanceclass #romantsy #Kindle
