Say what you want about Bill O‘ Reilly but he and Martin Dugard write history very well and from what I can tell- reasonably accurately. I really enjoyed this. I am blessed in that I have read better books this year than last year so far ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Starting my 2019 reads with some non-fiction
I rarely read non-fiction, and don‘t much care for Mr. O‘Reilly, but this was a very good book. Informative and hardly ever boring.
What a powerful book... I didn‘t know a lot about the dropping of the atomic bomb and this book changed that. Incredibly well written, this book gives you the facts without pushing a political agenda. A great non-fiction pick!

A Book Based on a Historical Event: This is my first book to read of Bill O'Reilly's & I learned a lot from it. I've read historical fiction about POW's in Japan that went into more detail about the atrocities our soldiers experienced but have never read more about the dropping of the A-Bombs than what I learned in school. This book has caused me to think and ask questions and to think some more.

Very interesting book about the development of the atomic bomb and the Pacific arena of WWII. Some parts are gruesome and graphic especially when referring to the aftermath of the Hiroshima/Nagasaki attacks. However you feel about the author's political stance, he keeps all of that out of his "Killing" series. #litsyatoz #letterk @BookishMarginalia
So...has anyone else done this audiobook? If so are you as annoyed as I am by the constant "Footnote blah blah blah blah blah blah End Footnote"?
Really well written and informative! I don't read as much about the Pacific theater of WWII so I learned a lot. This is the 2nd book of the Killing series that I've read and will definitely read the rest!
Excellent historical take on the Pacific Theatre. Loved the writing style switching between outright factual passages to story telling from soldier's perspectives. O'Reilly was also able to make the book personal by telling parts of his father's experience during his time on the USS Oneida. Pick for those who enjoy history books!🤓 #wwii #history
Spent the day hiking and doing some outside reading! Love it when it's the perfect temp out with NO WIND to blow the pages around☺️📖🍂🍁
This is probably the best book I have read in the past few years. It is totally factual and true. The authors showed remarkable research as well as skill of storytelling. I think every American should try to read this in order to get a better grasp on what being an American really is. An excellent book that raised many different emotions as I read through the very detailed history. FIVE STARS.
I always love reading the authors dedications before starting a book☺️ They really show a lot about the author and who they value! Thought this was a pretty good dedication to start off this book📖
Remember that time you saw a book you wanted to buy and then didn't buy it... yeah me either😂📚 and for 25% off!!👍🏻#bookpurchase #wwii #wwiihistory
Hubs went to the library today and here's his haul. Love that we have bookworming in common!
