What a lovely surprise to brighten up a dreary day.
And what a GORGEOUS cover.

I did enjoy this novel but gave it a So-So because there were times when Julia Child‘s super human abilities (a boat explosion & she alone survives & swims to unknown shores miles & miles away) was a little too much for me. Julia takes a job with the first US espionage agency to ferret out secrets in China, Ceylon, & India. What I did enjoy is the knowledge I gained as I know next to nothing about the Far East involvement inWorld War II. #Libby
I enjoyed this imagining of the early life of Julia Child. I could definitely have imagined that Julia experienced these things. I really liked the development and blossoming of Paul and Julia‘s relationship. It did take me a bit to get into but once it picked up I enjoyed it.

Interesting tale! A bit slow in places but I enjoyed it!

I wanted to like this, I realllllllllly wanted to like this, but I just couldn‘t muster up the enthusiasm to keep going. I made it to page 91 before calling it quits. I hope if you have it on your TBR, you give it a shot, maybe I bailed too soon? Idk if my comment below is a true spoiler, but better safe than sorry. It actually might help you if you‘re on the fence #HailTheBail
