I had to DNF this after getting a quarter through it. The main character is so whiny in a way that‘s not very relatable and over all boring. I‘m so sad because I like Kiersten White‘s writing. But this book was just not it.

This YA book was okay. The sections talking about the Gods I found intriguing, but the love story became a bit much, which happens with YA sometimes.
Short and entertaining, and perfect for a teen audience.
I get that you're scared and that you've been hurt. But doing what is easy and safe is no way to live, and a life without passion and love is so far beneath what you deserve.

While there where some things lacking in this book I found it to be enjoyable. I feel like the whole “danger” could have been more of the plot it‘s a fun read. Like 3.5/5⭐️
#mythology #aprilbookshowers. Just remembered this cute YA book based on Egyptian mythology. Thanks Google for the photo
And I'd choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I'd find you and I'd choose you.
This is a wonderful book journey with Isadora the daughter of Isis and Osiris(one of MANY offsprings) where she discovers love and that things aren't always as bad as they seem. Oh. And friendship.
An unexpected read today thanks to my (expansive) library hold list; Egyptian gods, human daughter, love, and chaos. I am here for this.
