My #JanuaryReCap 🖤🖤
Totally forgot to post by completed #bookspinbingo for January. I was able to get both the #bookspin and #doublespin books read and I actually made bingo this month! So excited to start off 2025 strong 😊
Olivie Blake and I are hit and miss. Some of her writing works for me, some doesn't.
This collection of short stories was, as you might guess, a mixed bag.
I liked The Animation Games, where two people come back from the dead over and over again just to kill each other again and again - and yes, they love each other. 😉
Low pick.

@Gissy Thank you so much!! I'm so excited to read this ❤️
Honestly going to put it on the top of my TBR so I'll be reading Januaries in January 😅

November
Fiction - The tagged is a fantastic, eclectic short story collection from Olivie Blake. I absolutely loved it.
Non-fiction
The Cabaret of Plants - Richard Mabey was November's #NaturaLitsy buddyread. It contains so much information on plant history and their global impact. It's beautifully written by Mabey.
Im back here after 3 years haha. Im so impressed that people are still using this app. How is everyone doing?
November was a very enjoyable reading month. Can you tell I was hiding from the real world? 🌎 😅

🙂 All 3 picks for #Roll100 @PuddleJumper
🙂 No bails
😍 Highlights - The Cabaret of Plants, Januaries, Cursed Britain, as always, David Copperfield. 😍
🫣 Lowlights - The mysteries of Udolpho- so wordy! Orbital - disappointing
@Andrew65 is back hosting his fab end of month readathon #20in4
Make your own goals to round off November.
I'm planning on a relaxing long weekend lost in these two beauties. I'll have earned it. Friday night sees me hosting 5 teenage boys celebrating the end of their mock exams. Should be fun! 😅
5/5
I enjoyed this set of fantasy short stories. My favorites were Sucker for Pain where the servant of a witch becomes a vampire and gains her own power, The Animation Games where two betrothed take advantage of their resurrected afterlife to hunt one another now, and Chaos Theory, the longest story in the collection, where the actions of two individuals in one universe have ripple effects across their lives in four other alternative universes.
It is an absolute perfect wintery day accompanied by a perfect wintery read. Complete bliss 😊
