bailedI‘m 60 pages in and all the awkward back and forth is just too much. Probably if I were in a different mood I‘d stick it out, but I just feel like the author is trying too hard. And if I really miss Roy Kent that much I‘ll just rewatch Ted Lasso. 🤷🏻♀️

I am so glad that I started it without looking at the Goodreads reviews, I can't imagine why they are so low, I found this so charming. The ending is a bit over the top - unrealistic but overall it was all good fun which is just how I like my romance books. I do not read a ton & mostly only read Gay ones so this was a fun change!
so-soThis was okay, almost too much banter at the beginning, was a little unrealistic that people in a working relationship would behave that way. So unprofessional. But once we got past that, it was a sweet and funny pairing and I enjoyed the nods to a certain grumpy footballer from Ted Lasso. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
pickMy romance fix for March. Like a bag of candy eaten in one sitting, it‘s good while it lasts, but also not craving any more any time soon.
It was a fun read overall. The characters were amusing, the banter in Manchester accent kept me reading. There was more spice than I expected, but somehow it was explicit without being super vulgar. Some character inconsistency here and there, some repetition. The usual. I enjoyed it for what it was.

I really liked the audiobook version of this romcom. I fell for the narrator's voice and the North English accents.
The chapter headlines were funny and interesting, they made me continue listening to the book although I had planned to not devour the book in one go.⬇️

bailedYikes! I do not take DNF lightly but When Grumpy Met Sunshine was just not for me. Flat and uninteresting banter gave me nothing to be excited about. All I could think about was what book I could be reading instead. So I took that as a sign to DNF and move on. Better luck to the next reader! #LitsyLoveReads

Highly recommended for fans of grumpy/sunshine pairs, Cinderella/celebrity romances, when it‘s painfully obvious they‘re head over cleats in LOVE but they‘re total utter numpties/silly gooses about it, and absolutely FILTHY dirty talk.
