Listened to Magic Tides today, it was a good story to bring back the reader to this world
Kate & Curran are no longer Beast Lord & Consort, trying to live a quiet life but human trafficking, a kraken &old friends call them out of retirement
Kate Daniels series was one I really liked especially because the adventure didn‘t stop just because babies are born, if anything it was more trouble
since I‘m gonna be a mom soon I loved Kate in mama bear mode

I usually have mixed feelings when an author finishes a series & then restarts it… it was a series I hated to let go of to begin with, and had thought about a re-read recently, so I was more than willing to dive in again. Kate & Curran have moved on, out of Atlanta, for a low-profile start for their new family...None of that pesky history hanging over them! But, a missing child has Kate out looking & taking no prisoners…anonymity can‘t last long!

The bundle that I have is not available in the database. This is a review of Magic Tides and is my selection for November #TBRTarot, #ABookWithAPersonOnTheCover. Kate and Curran are back! I said goodbye to these characters but Ilona Andrews has brought them back and now they and their more-than-precocious son have moved to Wilmington, NC, where they are “keeping a low profile.” But Kate has agreed to rescue a kidnapped child. Good-bye low profile.

My only complaint is that this is so short! Great continuation of the world building, fun to see how Kate and Curren are growing as parents and as characters.
Kate decides to rescue a stolen child and ends up facing a complex god infested ship.
4/5, great story as always but waaaay to short!

This was a novella and the beginning of The Wellington Series. The continuation of Kate and Curran story. #SeriesLove23 @Andrew65 And another spot for #ISPYBINGOAPRIL @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks I am using the coins in the treasure chest. Lol. The story mentions coins as a gift and trap.

This novella is a fun new adventure with Kate Daniels and family. They are trying to set up in a new town and renovating a new home when they fall into helping out their contractor. I hope we get more Kate & Curran stories, I have missed their stories! 4.5⭐️

I LOVED this dip back into Kate‘s world. This novella takes place several years after Magic Triumphs and Iron and Magic, but a few years before Blood Heir. Kate, Curran, and Conlan are settling into Wilmington and trying to lead a quiet life, but we all know that‘s not going to work. The only thing I disliked (ok, I wanted much much more) was that the pages of my copy were stuck together in several places and had to be torn apart. Frustrating.

I love Kate and Curran. And this was such a fun novella, a day in the life of Kate & Curran in Wilmington keeping a "low profile." Ilona Andrews has built an amazing world and I'm so glad she keeps allowing us to visit.

I had such a good time reading this because it felt very comforting being back with the characters I love in their new adventure starting over after leaving Atlanta behind. We get to see the characters in their new normal after moving on from dealing with the big overarching plotlines and more like a little slice of life.

Did a little backyard reading with Rolo as I finished the last bit I had left of Magic Tides.
