I enjoyed The Maze Runner so I thought I would give this trilogy a try but I couldn‘t even make it half way into the first book. This book is just terrible and I was not a fan of the writing style AT ALL! (I am a book hoarder so I still have the whole trilogy with no inclination to read it 😬)

I haven't read that far into it, but it has caught my attention from page 1. I would recommend this book for people who like action. I'm not a big reader but this book is good.😏

This was a really good book. I really liked the consept of the book. This book is about a gamer named Michael who gets trapped in his game.

I was interested in finding a sci-fi book, and I found this in the library.
The VirtNet is basically virtual reality but people can feel as if they live in the game. Michael is a teenager that likes being in the VirtNet, but he starts getting suspicious when he witnesses someone commiting suicide. He was then informed that something is happening in the VIrtNet, and he explores it to find the cyberterrorist.

What an engaging story! Based in a world where Virtual Life exists and is common, the plot itself is intriguing with various characters.

From describing the details to revealing the climax, it was a great read. And the way book one ended, gives you quite a bit of a shock.

Must read and recommend.

My book is starting off good. I am on the third chapter, but it is already pretty interesting.

Future teens in virtual reality worlds (cool, I liked Ready Player One) by the Maze Runner guy (I liked that one, too.) And yet, this one feels fluffy and tired and I don‘t care about the characters or the worlds. I finished it, but I can‘t recommend it.

Loved it 10/10 although I was shook by the ending.

I went to the eye doctor today & he told me my eyes are my superpower. Now, when you have terrible vision like me (can't even see the giant "E" on the wall), you think he's a nut. But, I guess the way my eyes work together is why I'm a visual learner & read so quickly & efficiently. They make me a more organized person because of their need for edges. The reason many people don't enjoy reading is because their eyes don't like that movement. Wow!

The funny part is, at one point I actually said “well at least there‘s no random shoehorned romance” and I kid you not there it was in the next chapter 🙃

Phoenix: "The story takes place in a virtual world where a cyber terrorist is trapping people and three kids have to stop him. I just got back into books after a long video game period. You can't have a book or a video game without a good story. The games I like have a plot, so it's kind of like a book, except you're playing the protagonist. The difference is with reading I can imagine things and what I would do. I like that."

Not nearly as great as "The Maze Runner," but still a good sci-fi YA. The main trio reminded me of the "Percy Jackson" heroes. Fun and full of twists! 4/5 stars

James Dashner's YA SF thriller (the first in a trilogy) is a wooden, listless affair populated by dull characters who never spring to life on the page and with a premise that has MATRIX connotations but whose virtual existence means that the stakes never really feel significant.

Today's #labsoundtrack. While interesting enough, it doesn't hold a candle to Ready Player One!

This book is very adventurous it is awesome👍🏾so many thrills

Loved this. Need to hurry up and get to the next in the series.

Lots of fun. Good pacing, great characters, and the twists all fit perfectly. Well done, and looking forward to reading the next one. 👍
