According to the radar, the majority of the hurricane has passed up, but we're still getting lots of wind & rain. Hopefully it dies down soon so the power can be restored and we can have some a/c again. It's time to read in the dark now. I hope everyone is staying safe out there! 🤘🏼

pickSo this is basically a more descriptive version of the Oregon Trail. Except, they are traveling to California during the gold rush. Lee is a strong bad ass woman for her time, and I want to be best friends with her. I also liked how there was LGBT references as well, and I hope there is more in the next book. That being said, I'm excited for Like a River Glorious next month! 👓👓👓👓👓

I can't remember which one I actually read first, but Hollywood Wives and Flowers in the Attic were my first adult books. They were both recommended to me by my mom when I was in 7th grade. It was the start of a very long obsession with both authors. I always thought it was really cool that my mom and I shared the books with each other.
