Finished listening to A Hasty Death while making dinner. (An hour & 15 min). Read some of the other two- about 70 pages. Slow reading day. Off to bed to read myself to sleep. 😴

Mehso-so

This second book was better than the first, for sure, but it wasn't quite outstanding. For example, we already know that Daisy has a crush on Becket - no need to tell us that at the end of every other chapter. And for all of the modern, feminist thinking that Lady Rose has, she sure does a lot a stupid and obvious things that make me want to slap her (both for being dumb and being out of character). No matter, though, it's still fun. Onto book 3!
