Another lovely read by Lucinda Riley. I've yet to be disappointed by her. This tale intertwines generations of two families by fate, love and struggle and has a wonderful atmosphere that I didn't want to leave behind.

SEND MY LOVE

Sending love to the reader....this book has a wonderful theme.

“You will fall in love with Mary and Anna as they tell their story and feel the pain of Kathleen who doesn't want her daughter Grania to know the family's history but must tell her.”

I. Cannot. Be. Trusted. In. A. Bookstore. #lessonoftheday

I went to get my daughter an SAT test prep book and came back with these!!! Thankfully, most were clearance/ used and I had a gift card so this very large stack didn‘t break the bank. But still. I have NO SELF-CONTROL. Especially when someone has recommended a book. I HAVE TO HAVE IT.

At least some of these will work for my challenges. 😁🙄

Eggs I get that way at times oh who ami kidding! All the time ! But I'm working on it 7y
Katiesbookishlife I loved Girl at War, such an interesting and heartbreaking story. 7y
ElishaLovesBooks @Eggs I should be working on it 🙄😩 7y

I think I've read this one before. Some parts seemed familiar but some were not so much. 😳🤔Whether it was a first read or a reread I enjoyed it. Several story lines, some mystery, and a little romance.

SilversReviews Oooo...I loved this book, but I LOVE all of her books. Never read a book of hers I didn't like. :) 7y
SilversReviews Pretty photo. 7y

Started reading this while attending the #24in48 readathon and was instantly drawn into the story. So many secrets already!!
Only a few more hours left.. I thoroughly enjoyed this weekend and am looking forward to the next #readathon!!

I'm currently reading Elle & Lui for the #readathon and it's going better than expected, considering French is my third language and I'm not fluent. Almost halfway through the book and still so many hours left to read! So enough time to read a few chapters in the other books from my stack, like Anna Karenina or The girl on the cliff 😊
