I loved this short story collection so much!
From people who are able to harvest magic from the dead and to teens trying to save humankind, people fighting for their royal loves, to a fantastic retelling of Rapunzel, there wasn‘t a single miss in the whole book.
While it‘s technically YA, it has more than enough to keep adult readers engaged, in fact I was half way through it before I knew it was YA.

Like with most anthologies, I liked some stories more than others.

I've discovered a few authors that I want to check out now.

One of my favorite stories - I believe there is series based on these characters. I might have to read it after this little taste of their story. Unless it‘s connected like blackout: the novel - I am not going to read these stories in order. I will say they do get a little dark in some cases. There are not many traditional happy endings.#poc #lgbtq #anthology #shortstories #darkstories #woc #cliffhanger

4 out 5 - interesting anthology. I did not love all the stories but there were a few that I would love to continue reading. The stories range in length, genre, & storytelling. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a quick story spin. Random short stories over coffee would have been great idea instead a straight read through.

So far this book has some interesting short stories. They vary in theme. I am think this might have been fun as an audiobook to hear the the stories. This book might be a perfect idea for a short story a day or reading with with someone. I recognize a few of authors & meeting new ones is always fun. #poc #adventure #diversity #lgbtq #shortstories

Here I am trying to make my 7 book goal for July!!! Woohoo — I think I will do the inside scoop for the last book because it‘s a little slow. A Universe of Wishes is another great #ya anthology- first story has me hooked. Let‘s see where the others take me. #july #bookchallenge #julybday #leo #ya

As is always the case with short story collections, some were good, some were bad. I find that in this one, it is very evened out. There were a few more bad ones that good ones, but the good ones were so amazing that it makes up for the not-so-great ones. 4⭐️

Sunday relaxation in the form of reading a few short stories, continue working on my scrap yarn blanket (that I totally bought yarn for 😅), while #GoodOmens plays in the backgroud 😁

This is a collection of sci fi and fantasy stories from diverse writers. Some stories grabbed me more than others, for sure, but I loved how it was a great way to discover new writers I don‘t know. The audiobook was awesome too because each narrator was different and the accents are incredible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Anyone else play the game of Which Hold Will Come In First? In which you place both digital and physical copy on hold at your libraries? Well, I did, and the winner is...Libby! 😂 Perfect timing, too, as I have finished my digital library books and was about to start reading books I actually own 😂

I didn't make it to 24 hours.. I guess being on winter break for 2 weeks means you have zero concept for how time works 😂. I logged over 12 hours but definitely got more than that I just hadn't started clocking my reading time. Here's to a beautiful New Year!

Like any anthology, this was a mixed batch. Several stories were notably excellent, others less-engaging. Mostly fabulous characters.

TheAromaofBooks I have a little over two books to read to actually blackout my card for the first time so I think I'm going to do it!! It took an entire month of reading literal fluff, but it's still a win! 😂 4y

EEEEEK! Look at all these amazing YA books that arrived at the library! I'm so excited! Don't they look so good?! THOSE COVERS! 😍💕📚 I'm especially hyped for the tagged book because it features a short story written by my wife, Victoria Schwab! 🤣😂
