I‘ve read this before but I adore Jeaniene Frost and I wanted to read something familiar and easy.

I need to vent about one of my peeves that appears in this book. I‘m a military brat, a veteran, and a mil wife. Dear writers, lieutenant colonels are not what you think they are. It‘s a higher mid-grade rank, more selective than major, but there are still a ton of them. It‘s a command position for some but not all, and it‘s not a Pentagon-level power thing. Air Force is different than Army, and AF is what I know, but still (cont)
Third finish for #nutsinMay and 6/20 for #bookspinbonanza - not sure if I‘ll get all 20 but I should get more than halfway. This also got me two more bingos on my social distancing reading bingo, as the antihero space - only four spaces to go for a blackout!
An interesting take on Vlad Dracul with a heroine who conducts high voltage and has psychic abilities. First in Night Prince series but unfortunately the Night Huntress series comes first👇🏻
Im trying to hit 400 books on Goodreads and so have been hitting the audio books hard this month. I have to say this one's sexy parts made me blush😳😳😳, this lady can write🙈. Thank goodness my coworkers couldn't hear what I was listening to. Id be down in HR for sure.😂😂😂
Yesterday I had a little time to myself. My rehearsal ended early and I needed to get lunch before heading home. I may have tripped and fallen into BN on the way to lunch and ended up with this #bookhaul. Well Met was so fun I needed my own copy, and Jeaniene Frost comes recommended by Ilona Andrews, who have never led me astray before. Not sure when I‘ll get to them...
I still prefer werewolves to vampires, but this book had an interesting premise. The original Vlad falls for a contemporary woman with some psychic and defensive powers she got from a downed power line accident. Together they fight a common enemy.
I used to devour Maggie Shayne and Christine feehan.. but stop as my reading tastes changed... but I loved this book and think I am now listening to the second book..
Listening while crocheting and lord I keep getting distracted with the story and messed up the pattern.. lol I have a new series to love
I need a change of genre so some paranormal romance it is.. I don‘t read or listen often but any audio book I have listened to lately hasn‘t caught my attention.. so maybe something different will help.
It feels like it‘s been forever since I fell in love with a vampire story. This was everything I wasn‘t from my paranormal romance- a twist on familiar tropes, a strong female MC, a sexy male MC, a bit of romance and lots of action. This book checked all the boxes and the narrator was perfection. On to book 2! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My pretty Elsa nails!! I'm rereading Frost's Once Burned Dracula series on audio (because Tavia Gilbert is a goddess) so I thought having Ice Nails was a bit funny 😁 Working on my Xmas Cross Stitch Swap box today as my original plan went horribly wrong! 😁🙄
Has your reading mood ever drastically shifted in a matter of hours? It happened to me with this book (and, tbh, has been happening more lately. I blame politics and work stress). I devoured the first half and was totally onboard with all of the vampy, PNR tropes that I used to love but then I had to stop reading to go to work and by the evening when I picked it back up my eyes could not stop rolling. Then I skimmed the rest of the series. 🤷🏻♀️
When you're loaded with the cold, the best cure is lying in bed, with a cup of tea and a lighthearted book 📚🤧
I still need to read the last book in the series about Vlad (don't call him Dracula) and his mortal girlfriend who has powers of her own. I tried Frost's other series and couldn't get it into it. Had no such issues with these books- I devour them in one sitting. #Transylvania #melodicmay
I love vlad him and bones r my favourite ❤️❤️❤️❤️
And now for something completely different...
Friday night #booksandwine with the most delicious pistachio gelato to go with my Night Prince novels re-read, I read the first two books years ago and needed a refresher before finishing up the series. 🖤🦇🔥
#bookhaul as if I needed anymore books to add to my TBR!🤷🏻♀️ Oh well😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Loved this book! My only complaint is that there should have been a warning at the beginning of the book advising that this book contained spoilers about another of Frost's series! I learned things about Kat (Night Huntress) that I hadn't read yet in her series! #litsyatoz
the fourth & final book in the Night Prince is coming out at the end of this month, so I decided now would be the perfect time to reread these
This book was really interesting to read. I love how dark Vlad was, but I knew from the beginning of that he developed and undefying love for her.
This is a fun and witty book.
