panI read this apocalypse novel thinking it would be good for #wintergames word search (and it absolutely was) but the writing was very clunky. The premise was fine I love a good old school horror movie end of the world, but there was a lot of telling not showing and the characters were pretty much four masculine blokes and a hot woman who never said anything

pan2¼⭐This has 5 books, each being novella length but they are all available on Hoopla on Audio. This was rather bleak…as if the constant blizzarding snow in July wasn‘t enough…there is also some kind of wraiths afoot. I wasn‘t a fan of the banter between the characters, it was seriously eye-roll-worthy. Plus his constant foreshadowing where he literally told you what was forthcoming was frustrating and because of this, I'm stopping at book #1.

Wanted some more spook from this!! The ending just was like da blah. But thank goodness for Helga!👏🏻
