Cozy mystery featuring a bunch of well to do characters who aren't really big on brains. I needed something light and I got it.

Another cozy mystery, this time with a between the wars setting and amateur detective with a touch of the Bertie Wooster‘s although one hundred times more shrewd. An easy, fun read. Thanks @batsy for putting this one on my radar.
A rather fun, fluffy romp that's perfect escapist reading. My brain didn't have to go beyond "idle" mode ? There was some dry, snappy British banter; characters being all manner of silly; and a 1920s Golden Age detective fiction vibe that's perfect for bedtime reading.
A vintage-style mystery with a good dash of Woodhousian silliness. I was very impressed by how good she was at balancing the humour within the story, very solid writing which made reading the story effortless. I was able to switch off my brain the same way I do with Agatha Christie.
I think that the super-loyal Asian servant trope can die. But apart from that this was a very enjoyable 4 stars.
I got super confused with this and thought it was actually old!
Anyway, this is a really fun murder mystery set in the 1920s with a hero who‘s a bit Bertie Wooster but actually quite clever underneath and with a good heart. I‘d happily read more of these.
#HumpDayPost Sorry you‘re having a rough time #tricksytails here‘s Hildegard being bathed (by my mum) & attempting a career in fashion by creating an outfit from her bed...

3. No nuts
4. A Case of Blackmail in Belgravia - a murder mystery set in the 1920s. I‘m 50 pages in and so far, so good.
5. I‘m a big formula one fan but this time of year I‘m all about figure skating and the Olympics are nearly here. ⛸

“It‘s 1929, and Ticky Maltravers is the toast of London society-until someone poisons him over dinner. But who murdered him?” 🔎
London. 1929. Murder at a dinner party. A sleuth with an exasperating mother and a pretty girl needing his help. The back blurb is ticking off all the boxes for a good mystery.
