This was a really cute story with a librarian, a Sheriff, and a small town all trying to "help" him solve a case. I liked this one better than the first in the series. Mainly because it wasn't written in first person so you got to be in his head as well as hers. I prefer that. I felt the first half was better than the second, but it's a sweet and cozy romance which is my thing so I stuck with it. ❤️ #romance #sweetromance

Meg Cabot clearly adores librarians. She takes pains to show how radical the institution is, especially when it comes to radical kindness. Unfortunately, this book is also goofy AF - & not in a good way. 🙈 The characters are named things like Molly Montgomery, Dylan Dakota, & Tabitha Brighton (even aside from the alliteration, the place name formula is silly). Molly often uses words like “simply” & “surely” in everyday speech. Low-medium heat. 🔥

The romance moved too quick in my opinion. The characters knew nothing about one another and neither did we, the readers.

Has anyone read either of these? I got them from husband‘s grandmother who believes the mark of a successful woman, is that she has a man in her life, and that my husband is a saint for loving me despite my health issues. (Yes, I realize that‘s a generational thing). These sort of fit the “lighter reading” I‘ve been looking for. I‘m just frustrated by her old school ideas that seem to be a theme in both of these books.

Fairly proud of my May bookspin bingo board. Wasn‘t really sure what I was doing LOL so I started with 20 books, reading all but 3.5 of them. No life-changing books, but all enjoyable reads! Now, bring on June! @TheAromaofBooks

DNF'd at 20% because Molly is immature, arrogant, & unprofessional. She doesn't do anything about the teen being inappropriate at an event for small children (other than call her male colleague in to take care of it). But she berates John, the sheriff, for doing his job. Plus there was no chemistry. John should run away from her.

I tried to push through knowing the end would be happy, but I just couldn't stand Molly one more irritating second.

I loved this book. The characters were likable and sweet. Cute,romantic and very enjoyable. As usual,Meg Cabot did very well. I highly recommend it.

Last book of 2020. Little Bridge Island Sheriff and the small town librarian.

Not up to her usual witty and light hearted writing. It was ok but forgettable.

A cute contemporary romance set in the Florida Keys. The recently divorced sheriff has a meet cute with the town‘s new librarian when she discovers an abandoned baby in a bathroom. It turns out to be the second in a series but I didn‘t feel like I was missing anything. A fun beach read!

A cute romance which was basically a romcom in book form. Local librarian falls for the sheriff.

Fast and cute - not enough tension to be a true pick, but I can‘t turn down a book with a children‘s librarian as a protagonist. This was a fast read for me - 2 days.

I really enjoyed everything about this book......except for the heroine, Molly. She was super naive and annoying. And that‘s a problem, a big problem, since she‘s integral to the story. Also, super disappointed more book 1 characters weren‘t in this book except in a passing sentence or two.

Nothing mind blowing with this book. It was a light and quick read. I am a sucker for books with a library or bookstore setting.

Meh. Liked the found baby/mother part of the story hated the romance.
