This is the best book in the series so far. The killer in this book is a true psychopath. He‘s also highly intelligent and able to disguise himself to look exactly like his victims in order to get on the jury. Anyone who gets in his way will be murdered. He has a special mission, one that is very unique. He‘s been working on it for years and has nearly accomplished his mission. #SeriesLove2024 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView
“It‘s the murder trial of the century―and Joshua Kane has killed to get the best seat in the house. He has done everything in his power to make sure the wrong man goes down for the crime. Because this time, the killer isn‘t on trial. He‘s on the jury.”

It is quite possible that this book was a little OTT with plotting and how it all came together..... But I don't care it was hugely enjoyable.
The Mr Cheeseman incident gave me a good laugh too.
Pretty sure when I bought this ages ago it when it was all over Litsy it was also #99ponkindle
I need a Kindle book for winter evenings to avoid eye strain, so now I have 4 books on the go 🤦♀️
Just posted a new episode over on Patreon! We select a new legal thriller to read and mull over the notion that Shakespeare is overrated. It seems that some of the forward looking "tech bros" think so. Subscriptions start as low as three bucks a month and come with a cool coffee mug!

A rainy day when you‘re camping means it‘s time for a thriller (and a sleepy dog in his window seat 😆).

This legal thriller was such a page turner that I read it in within two days. Didn‘t realise it was part of a series but I‘ll definitely be reading the next one now.

#LittensDressedInBlood Today's prompt is Triskaidekaphobia- fear of the number 13!
I don't really have a fear of the number 13... but then again, I'd probably be weirded out if I stayed on the 13th floor of a hotel, just bc I grew up knowing that a lot of hotels skipped the 13th floor. Do they still do that?
I quite enjoyed the tagged book, but you do have to suspend your belief quite a bit.

Just started this and so far it‘s an amazing read ❤️❤️. Update: this book had me on the edge of my seat I wasn‘t sure what was going to happen or when. I literally read it in one sitting 🪑

What are you reading? 😊
I couldn't put this book down, it was gripping, addictive, and brilliant
Here‘s my first #BookSpinBingo. I have a renewed excitement to tackle my TBR! #bookspin #doublespin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I can definitely see why this book did the rounds on most ‘book-stagrams‘ last year. Within the first few chapters I was instantly hooked on the premise and couldn‘t wait to see the story unfold. Very well written and loved the two different perspectives told. My main criticism though is that one of the revelations at the end, felt like it was forced and wasn‘t necessary. Overall, I loved this book and will read from Steve Cavanagh!
I was really looking forward to this, but it fell short for me. #bookspinbingo square @TheAromaofBooks
I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.
This is day 95

This book has such a clever premise - What if a serial killer isn‘t on trial, but he‘s on the jury? It‘s a page turner! It‘s book four in a series, but you don‘t need to read the others for this book to make sense. Far fetched at times, but a fun read for sure.
And I scored a #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
This one is on my #TBR. #numberinthetitle #JumpintoJanuary (I‘m a day late, oops)
Started this one today and I was hooked immediately! My youngest doesn‘t nap anymore, but a daytime bath still gives me some solid reading time. 👍
WOW! As I continue my year of Mayham reading, I was extremely surprised by this book. It‘s a great twisty mystery with lots of unexpected red herrings. A genuine gem of a legal thriller! Have you read this @rather_be_reading ??? You will love it!!
Well, it‘s been a super busy four days, but I still managed to find time to devour this book! Thank you so much @LeahBergen ♥️ Its been on my list for years, any I absolutely loved it! SO FRICKEN GOOD!! #tbrread #wintergames2020 #merryreaders
This is apparently the fourth book about former con artist turned defense attorney Eddie Flynn, but having not read any of the earlier books, I had no problem getting up to speed on Eddie. This story is fast-paced with chapters alternating between our protagonist and the killer and I could not put it down! I could see this being made into a movie. Great pick, Morgan! #lmpbc @mngraham @ameliashley @TorieStorieS
💛💛💛💛💛 This book is literally everywhere at the moment so had to give it a go, and I can see why everyone is raving about it. Took me about 100 pages to get in to, but was very dark, lots of unpredictable twists and kept you guessing all the way through. Would recommend!
Cavanagh is an exceptional writer and the way he wove this story together was truly brilliant. I‘m not sure what I was expecting but this exceeded whatever that was! I‘ve found that a lot of “action packed thrillers” really fail in the action department but, with immaculately detailed scenes, this proved to be a high octane suspense.
It‘s spelled with an extra “l” but still cool to stumble upon. I‘ve never seen my daughter‘s name in a book before. Other than the baby name book that I saw it in once upon a time.
This was my first book by Steve Cavanagh and I enjoyed it. It was a bit gruesome at times but he is a serial killet I guess. The trial scenes were exciting, it has been ages since I read a book with a trail in it. This seems to be in a series about Eddie, who is the lawyer. #books
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! An original fast-paced non-stop thrilling joy ride!
Hold on to your hats folks, because this one will blow your mind! YES, it's as good as everyone says. YES, you should read it now. NO, I wouldn't lie to you. Thirteen was so expertly executed that I am 100% satisfied as a reader. P.S. The audiobook has an amazing narrator. #Goodreadsgiveaway #highlyrecommend #excellentnarrator
I've hit Chapter 13 (32%) and I am loving this y'all! This is as good as everyone says... so far! 👍
Getting ready to start this long overdue ARC I won in a Goodreads Giveaway. Thanks @flatironbooks! I've heard such wonderful things about this one. I can't wait to see what's in store for me!
A cool courtroom drama where the serial killer is just around the corner and keeps messing up with the best-laid plans of powers that be.

Though I hate to read a series out of order, I totally loved this thriller! I could hardly put it down once I picked it up! A great #LMPBC choice, @mngraham - while the premise is over the top, it‘s fresh, totally fun and such an engaging and entertaining read! There are some real shocks to the plot- and a few things you can feel good about predicting! I can‘t wait to read the rest of the series! #ChairOnCover #AcrossApril

The 4th book in the Eddie Flynn series, a con man turned lawyer but can be read as a stand alone. A fast-paced clever thriller with plenty of twists.
An highly intelligent serial killer gets himself on the jury. Several twists. Sooo Good!!
What a twisty, gripping thrill ride! This is my first court room thriller (I think that‘s what they‘re called) and it was a great one! It was fast paced with likeable characters and a fascinating villain. Could totally see this as a mini series or movie. I‘m not sure I completely bought into the ending but it had me so hooked that I don‘t really care. It‘s the 4th in a series but you don‘t need to have read the others before this necessarily.
My first read by this author! This is the 4th book in the Eddie Flynn series but I didnt feel like I was missing any details by reading this one first. Eddie Flynn is a con man turned defense attorney, and in this case, the killer is on the jury 👀
A great, fast-paced, courtroom thriller. I'll definitely check out the other books in this series.
