2. I‘ve only been to St. Louis in the airport or whizzing by on I-70, so I‘d like to go there as a destination.

#CuriousCovers Day 4 #Horse. I loved News of the World and picked this one up shortly after reading it but it still sits on my paperback shelf.
pickThought this was a marvellous book. Adair's life is changed completely when a Union militia take her father prisoner. She faces terrible hardship but is never less than a compelling character in near apocalyptic times.
This is only the second book by Jiles I've come across. I want to read everything she's written now...
pickLoved this historical fiction. Jiles writing is so natural it feels like she over heard the conversation.
