This was a cute YA book with a fun concept! When people (mostly under 20) die, they have a chance at rebooting. The longer they‘re dead before coming back the ‘better‘ they are. Wren has the highest time with 178 minutes before rebooting. She‘s now training a 22 minutes, with little potential.

This was my April #doublebookspin @TheAromaofBooks 😁📚

Bookish_Viking Amy Tintera is one of my favorites. I enjoy her books very much. 3y
michellelav @ReaperOfTerrasen this is my first by her but I may have to check other ones out! 3y

Amy Tintera has such a interesting mind when creating her worlds and characters abilities/powers. Between the Ruined Trilogy and the Reboot duology (still in the middle of), I find myself hooked on her imagination.

Not convinced that this one was all that great. Super predictable and I didn‘t like the main characters at all. Very one dimensional.

Loved this book reminded me of Divergent and Maze Runner but with a zombie twist would totally recommend to anyone wanting to read something a bit different x

Weird. Interesting with some original takes on the zombie genre.

Pg 20: ugh, not a cheesy romance
Pg 40: LET HIM LOVE YOU, GIRL! 🤣🤣🤣

I think Tintera's writing really grew between this series and Ruined. The book and concept isnt particularly unique or amazingly written BUT that being said, I freaking loved this book.

This book reminds me kind of Darkest Minds and Divergent.

I loved the attitude of Wren and Callum's straight forwardness with Wren. I'm a sucker for sci-fi/medical dystopian so this was 😘

mariaku21 Adding this one to my tbr list just because of your first two lines 7y
[DELETED] 206653737 🤣 glad you enjoyed it though. On to Rebel? (edited) 7y

It's Friday! Got any plans? I gotta clean and read and pack for a work conference in Edmonton next week.

Starting the weekend off with Reboot. I inhaled Amy Tintera's two Ruined books and thought I'd try out her previous duology while waiting for the 3rd Ruined book to come out (plus the duology was on BookOutlet for a steal!)

Sounds like Darkest Minds + Monsters of Verity had a baby kind of.

[DELETED] 206653737 I really enjoyed this book, it's been some time since I read it though. Was thinking a reread might be in order at some point to see if I still find it so entertaining. Hope you enjoy! 7y

Thanks for the tag @mcipher! I feel like I'm a pretty generous rater. I have no fear of DNFing a book--im not gonna power through 99% of a book where nothing happens in order to get a cliffhanger for the sequel (looking at you, Three Dark Crowns 😰😰😰) My #fivestarprediction ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from my TBR is Wonder Woman: Warbringer (Bardugo), the Reboot duology (Tintera) and The Arsonist (Oakes). I got really good vibes about them.

howlinglibraries Oooh fun tag! Thanks 💕 7y

This book is pure oatmeal.

The plot is oatmeal, the characters are oatmeal, and the romance is oatmeal.

It's not a bad book, but the most I can say about it is that it was FINE. But just fine.

Maybe 2.5/5 stars⭐️⭐️✨

radesilets This review made me laugh. This had been on my TBR list but it's further down now. (Much further!) 8y
little_hopeful_library Haha thanks! To be honest all I would give it is a half-hearted shrug but maybe that's just me🤷🏼‍♀️ @radesilets 8y

Maybe not the best written book out there but the story itself is good. It ticks all the right boxes, 'zombies' ✔️, suppression✔️, bad ass heroine that kicks but ✔️, love story✔️.
If you have some time left or aren't sure what to read next then this is the book that you're looking for.

Reboot is a thrilling science fiction novel with a romantic spin. I probably won't be picking up the sequel but it was a good read nonetheless.

I was sucked in right away and this book is action-y and interesting enough to keep me invested until the end. But I can't get over some of the more bothersome plotholes or the general "an unemotional girl learns to open up because of a boy!" trope.

Buena historia, muy original sin embargo no te engancha a tal grado de volverte súper fan.
