Book #3 of 2021 was my favorite so far. It hits all my fave comic areas: magic, myth, mystery, femme badassery, diverse representation, and gorgeous images. I loved the art in this one - and the hardcover compilation (ep 1-11) has such a nice feel to read. Definitely going to order the next of these! (Image ft. one of my kitties - Kava and my pup - Sesame... which do you think is the wicked / divine? 😉)
I took July and August off from buying books, then splashed out in September. It was my most expensive month of 2019 to date, thanks to the tagged book. It cost me $10 at the Children‘s Hospital Book Market, and to be honest, I wouldn‘t have bought it if they‘d had my September 28th purchases out on the tables that day. I just wanted to give the sick kids some money.
Oh well. The book‘s awfully pretty, and it does have cool special features.
I‘ve been reading this series on #Hoopla. I like my graphic novels in collection format, and I‘ve finished Books 1 & 2.

pickNeedless to say, it was too cold to go outside for NCBD yesterday but I had saved the tagged issue for just such an occasion. So, a brief interlude as they get ready for the final arc. This is a collection of stories by various artists parodying the Wicked + The Divine. The best is a parody in the vein of Scooby Doo and the gang. Fun but not to be read unless you read the series—it just wouldn‘t be as fun.

A friend has become obsessed with this series in the last week, and it has been on my list for a while so I decided to go for it. Buffy references are always a way to my heart.
bailedCouldn't finish because I just didn't care. The art is good, but there is not a strong storyline here. It's mostly just "there's gods, look how cool they are!"
Since everyone else is doing it, I finally figured out how. 🙂
And of course, here is the character homage to Prince as Inanna. Lol, the voice of Alf died today (RIP Michu Meszaros). Thank goodness he wasn't in here as a reincarnated God. Great book. #comicsrule
