pickI am going to call this a soft pick. While I like the premise of the story I thought the execution was lacking. The main character's story was over shadowed by her sister. It almost felt like there were two plots instead of a strong plot with a subplot to help pull things along. The saving grace was how funny the story is. It is laugh out loud funny at times. 3.5 ⭐️

pickI can always count on Kinsella‘s books for a good laugh and to cleanse my palate, and this one didn‘t disappoint! Expecting her boyfriend to propose, Lottie is left heartbroken when he doesn‘t. Shortly after, her first love re-enters her life, proposes, and they rush off to a Greek island for their honeymoon and what Lottie knows will be an epic wedding night. Will it, or has she made a big mistake?

pickWas a total cliche but sometimes you just need a cheesy, light hearted read and this was it. Found it really funny aswell.

pickWhat a fun, cute book!!! Totally fell in love with the characters and plot. Some of the antics in the book actually had me laughing out loud. This would make a great comedy movie!!! Can't wait to read more from this author. I love her writing style and the humor she brings to her books.

pickI noticed that this novel has a pretty low rating here. I might have felt that way about it had I read it in print, but my husband and I listened together on our recent road trip. We just finished it tonight and both really enjoyed the crazy plotline, the flawed characters and the lovable humor. If you're listening with someone else, this the perfect pick.

bailedNope couldn't do it. The main character was whiney and indecisive. Ovary up woman and take care of business. Then the sister was going through a bitter divorce, a trope I rarely like. 3.5 hrs into the audio and I couldn't anymore. This is my first Kinsella, wondering if I'll like any others.
pickAnother funny story from Sophie Kinsella. Tried to read this book years ago but bailed on it. I decided to give the audio version a chance and I'm glad I did. Had me laughing out loud throughout!
so-soThough I do love Sophie Kinsella, this is not one of her best works. The best thing about Kinsella books is how relatable her characters are. I didn't feel like that here at all. And I really doubt that too many people with identify with the major characters here, and hence you may not be as invested as Kinsella books usually make you feel.

I am so surprised that I don't like most of the characters here. And quite disappointed too. The premise would work, and I would probably really like this book if only the leads were more, or at all, likeable.

Two books checked out through Overdrive. Not sure I will stick with Wedding Night, I find both Lottie and Fliss pathetically annoying female stereotypes. I much prefer Jack.

pickAnother day, another Sophie Kinsella book. This one also had many cringe worthy moments and I must admit I have a problem relating to her female characters. They do things I would NEVER do! I stuck it out and finished it because I knew there would be a happy ending, and I was right!
