An intense and exciting book that's 90% action. I could've done without the romance, but it didn't ruin the story. An enjoyable chunkster.

😏From start to finish, this was a story constantly in motion🏃🏻♀️ This was a #BuddyRead with @hp-lover9000 & I really enjoyed it❤️🔥📖 Recommended!!
The reviews I read before I started this book were very mixed. I think that for some people, if they read Stephanie Meyer's other books and didn't like them, they were likely destined not to like this.
This book is more like her book The Host, dealing with being on the run, the paranoia that comes with it, and the unlikely relationships forged. There is, of course, a love story but I thought that it only added to the charm of this book.
Super fun book. The misadventures of the most unlikely trio and their dog as they evade capture by opaque government agencies in a bid to regain their freedom and some resemblance of their lives.
The Chemist is Stephenie Meyer‘s (author of Twilight) attempt at going into adult books. I liked the book. The premise (a chemist who is being targeted by the government) was new and different. I liked that part of the book. However it was too wordy for my taste, which kind of long my interest at parts. I also felt it got too much into romance and took away the books focus. Overall interested book but not my favorite
“Kevin rolled his eyes. ‘I bet you always have a plan, don‘t you shorty?‘
She regarded him with flat eyes. ‘I can‘t rely on muscle, so I have to rely on brains. It appears you have the opposite problem.‘”

I have seen this book described as a gripping spy thriller and consistently fast paced fun and it is neither of those things. This is my second time reading this book (years apart) and although it had moments that made me smile I was left feeling like the book was lacking.
This was a great read. I would compare it to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Here‘s my review for another book I read. I read this book for #theunreadshelfproject2021 bonus challenge which is to read a book more than 500 pages. This book has 521 pages so I‘m counting it and I also finished reading this book for #tometopplereadathon. I didn‘t think I was going to get finished with this book this month but I did it.
I so absolutely LOVED this!!! Impossible to put down, fun, suspense, twists and turns on every page!
The dog angle was brilliant!!!
I can‘t remember when last I enjoyed a book soooo much!!!
I was skeptical at first, really did not think SM would be able to go from Twilight to action suspense but she completely surprised me!
Very well done!!! 😎😍😎😍😎😍😎
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Holy shiiiittt! I thought last nights reading was intense, but now I am not sure I will be able to put this down before I read the last page!
😳😳😳😲😲😲😳
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
And onto a fun read!
So happy to finally start on this! 😍😎😍😎
And without planning it the photo turned out awesome with the colour of the tea matching the title!
Well done me!😂😂😂
Oh, she did, she did let me down. 😢what I hoped would be a smart spy or detective suspense turned into a flirty silly storyline. I‘m breaking up with Stephanie Meyer.😞
Found this while browsing the “what‘s available now” list on Libby and decided to check it out. It was really good! Glad I gave it a shot!
