Day 1 - #January2022

The Spanish Daughter by Lorena Hughes - The story is just outright captivating. and had me turning pages as quickly as possible. Puri‘s budding relationships with her newly found siblings also add to the tension, and all of this human emotion and action set against the gorgeous backdrop of early 20th century Ecuador‘s chocolate plantations make this a winner. #12BooksOfChristmas2022 @Andrew65

Andrew65 Need a book for #Ecuador so stacking this. (edited) 2y

I had an incredible number of five star reads in January. Giving it to this one for one of the most unique worlds I've ever read.

I look forward to each new book in this series. Its setting is Sandhamn,a small settlement in the Stockholm Archipelago.
A women‘s skeletal remains are discovered on an uninhabited island.Policeman Thomas Andreasson investigates.Usually his lawyer friend Nora assists, but she is suffering from PSTD from a previous, dark case.Another body is unearthed, linking 2 cold cases, attracting Nora‘s attention. An engrossing tale.

Andrew65 This sounds excellent. Are you aware of this series @Tove_Reads? (edited) 2y

Pickpick

Second book I read in January of 2022 and it was so good! All I knew going in was a couple of kids would burst into flames when they got to overwhelmed with emotions, but boy was I not expecting all the rest.

#JANUARY2022 recap has me firmly planted in a re-read of Outlander, having recently binged the Netflix Series. And this time so far this reads differently. And has actually given me an interesting evaluation of myself, as I have changed and adapted through the years… I even understand more the 🔺fate of Claire‘s life. And the pressure. #outlander continues. #historialfiction #romance #timetravel 📚❤️

BooksNBowls I‘ve been trying to make it through Drums for 2 months now lol you make me feel bad 😅 3y
aa_guer2021 @BooksNBowls don‘t feel bad at all. The only way I have been able to do this is because I focused exclusively on this series, and read only that one book at a time. And I am fast reader, when motivated to be, and since I just saw the show, a lot of things are fresh in my mind. If I was distracted, or had less time, it would take me a lot longer. I committed to getting through them, as I feel ready. 🥲 3y
BooksNBowls @aa_guer2021 yeah I‘ve taken a month hiatus from it but I think I‘ll pick it back up next month and try to finish. I‘m about 45% through it. I just needed a little break. I can‘t wait to get to the books they haven‘t came out with yet on tv (edited) 3y
