About to start re-reading the Dark/Carpathian series by Christine Feehan, there's been just about 15 books added since the last time I read any of them.

My first book of 2020 is finished! I‘ve been audiopuzzling today, my hands a bit cramped from my journaling last night so I‘m giving them a break. This is my 2nd puzzle, I love the iPad version, no lost pieces! This book is trashy, no denying it, and if I had to hear her say “white hot heat” one more time I would‘ve thrown my headphones across the room. But it was a fun listen, definitely not very literary but enjoyable. #JumpStart2020
Hello my fellow #JumpStart2020 #readathon readers! I spent most of this afternoon/night audio journaling. I am by no means artistic, I love art but I‘m hard pressed doing a stick figure so don‘t expect grand masterpieces from me, I‘m just happy if it doesn‘t look like a hot mess🤗Listening to a trashy novel while colouring is so relaxing, so I‘m finishing up the tagged book about a race of vampires in the Carpathian Mountains. What are you doing?
Sometimes you just need a crappy paranormal romance on audiobook to help you sleep! I‘ve been awake over 24hrs now & just can‘t turn my mind off, so I‘m audio booking it for the #24B4Monday #readathon & the #WinterGames for #TeamNutcracker with the 1st book in Feehans ‘Dark‘ series about a race of vampires called Carpathians. 1pt #PointsTotal-2,285
I am re-reading this series by Christine Feehan. Mikhail is a centuries old ancient. His people of the Carpathian species are soon going to become extinct unless they find a solution. Mikhail meets a young lady named Raven. She came to rest after a rough time with her work. They are drawn to each other and begin to fall in love.
"Sometimes I go into the mountains and stay by myself for days, weeks, and I'm not lonely, yet at a party, surrounded by a hundred people, I am more lonely than ever."
Digging out my Dark series books for a reread! I read the first book almost 10 years ago and haven‘t reread it since!
#Rocktober #day21 #NoOneKnows No one knows I still have an addiction to trashy vampire/paranormal romance books. Some are a bit better written than others, but even ones like the Dark series by Christine Feehan I still enjoy listening to on audiobook form when I just want something easy to listen to, not anything I really have to think about. What can I say, vampires are my weakness.🦇
#Rocktober #day13 #DarkNecessities When I just feel like a trashy paranormal romance to get me through a rough day, this is one of the series I find necessary to cheer me up. I have about 10 of them on audiobook, they're great escapism, but sometimes the prose is just a bit too over the top. I'm thinking of making a drinking game where every time the narrator says "white hot heat" you take a shot. Guaranteed to get you rolling drunk in 5 chapters!
Prince Mikhail Dubrinsky is the vampire #darkprince of his people. Many people love this series but I bailed on book one. #characters2017
I've seen this author referenced on blurbs and on podcasts so decided to start with book one of her Carpathian series. I can't believe I'm saying this , but there is too much sexy time and not enough story time. I'm reading book 2 and it's much better 🐉
Finished both my jigsaw puzzle and my audiobook. These first novels of Christine Feehans Dark series were some of my very first audible picks over 6 years ago. They're ok to listen to when you're bored or going to sleep but they're not exactly Pulitzer Prize winners if you know what I mean. If I had to listen to the narrator say "white hot heat" in a 'sexy' voice one more time, I'd be pitching my iPod across the room! Definitely a so-so.
Audiopuzzling on this last burst of summer (hopefully!🤞) afternoon. I have this awesome jigsaw puzzle app on my iPad, much easier to move and no pieces go missing, and you win credits for each puzzle completed so you can get more puzzle packs. I have so many audiobooks in this iPod, and I have more credits building up at audible.com Any suggestions of really good audiobooks I should get?
Unbelievably, I know, I have yet another throat infection/flu 🤧and all I'm able to do is lay in bed doped up on painkillers & antibiotics, and listen to trashy paranormal romance audiobooks. I can't even read because I'm getting headaches with the fever 🤒 I haven't even got the energy to do last nights photo challenges!😩 I'll try to post tonight if I'm feeling better, I did get through half of The Obelisk Gate before I got really sick.
