I just found my Kurt Vonnegut book for September‘s #AuthorAMonth…and it‘s on sale! Would love to read more about what he has to say about the art and craft of writing. (Discount also available on Google and Kobo.)

McConnell was Vonnegut‘s student at Iowa, now a writing teacher herself, and her name should really come first on this volume—lovely insights on writing & process with Vonnegut as a catalyst. Style comes from caring, set-up=arousing curiosity through informing, writing as an act of good citizenship, writing as entertainment, swoopers and bashers, the “third player,” reader as collaborator. JOKES! P343 “If this isn‘t nice, what is?” 2019
A misleading book that takes advantage of Vonnegut‘s name. For the full review, please visit http://benjamin-m-weilert.com/index.php/2022/12/28/book-pity-the-reader-2019/

It's a grey day, and I'm not teaching right now, so we're taking some time to read for ourselves. #CatsOfLitsy #Loki #SamuelLCatson
It‘s been a hectic month so I‘m going to catch up on posting my audiobook listens. This was a decent listen with some great points for writers. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I had read more of Vonnegut‘s work.
