I‘m so glad I bumped this up my reading list. A beautifully written story that made me wish that I had had close relationships with my grandparents. Hopefully I will play an important role in my grandchildren‘s lives when the time comes.

This took its time to arrive (the posts/deliveries are impacted due to the Coronavirus) but it‘s finally here! It‘s my birthday gift from @CarolynM 🥰
Thank you so much Carolyn! ❤️
Finished this one last night. Lovely story and very beautifully written
I fell in love with the cover of this book. It is a quiet and well written story. As someone who spent a lot of time with grandparents as I child it felt familiar. You do feel the love throughout the book. ⭐⭐⭐
Oh what a lovely little read ❤️ I‘ve read her first and now this one, but somehow missed her second, which I will rectify.
The author can say a lot in very few words.
Thank you Sally 😘
Thank you so much Sally - the promised book and a lovely extra one 😘😘 really appreciated and wonderfully wrapped - made it even more special.
A surprise will be making its way over once I get to the PO. ♥️
A delightful read. I read it this morning. Perfect for a quick read that warms the heart.

Loved this beautifully written tale of family and place. I grew up with my grandparents so it resonated. A story of sisters, children and the city of Prague told with a light touch. I will definitely look out for the authors other novels!!

Currently reading two fabulous Australian books Dark Emu and There was Still Love. Great #ozfiction and #nonfiction😊Up next something different and with an international flavour...Fear and Trembling a novel set in Japan and The Incendiaries set in North Korea! Love to hear people‘s reviews of these books🤗

I adored this. A beautiful story of two children & their grandparents (sisters) in Prague & Melbourne. The prose is clear and simple with a light touch, but conveys much about exile, family and the impact of the iron curtain. The observations about history & forgetting resonated after reading Milan Kundera recently. Characters wonderfully depicted. I loved that she doesn‘t try to overwrite it but lets the story shine through. A pleasure to read.
I really loved her first book Past the Shallows, and so I looked forward to this one, her third. I somehow missed her second 🤔 When the Night Comes, but I will have to get to it. Beautiful writing and a beautiful, moving story. ❤️ #ozfiction
Going to make a start on Australian author Favel Parrett‘s latest offering. Loved her first novel Past The Shallows.
Am up to about 5 hours of reading so far for @ReadingDownUnder ‘s #AUDayReadathon #ozfiction #currentlyreading

I'm going to be thinking about this book for a long time. Deceptively simple, both in story and writing, it explores the connections and chasms between families separated by WWII and the Iron Curtain. Really beautiful. #ozfiction
#LMPBC #GroupZ. I'll put it in the post for you on Monday, Lee.
