so-soThis was a fun concept that didn't end up working for me. The plotting felt a little sloppy and I liked the "wrong" guy WAY better than the "right" one. A fun one-off, but it didn't really inspire me to see if Keating has written anything else.

pickThe moment I finished that 1st chapter I was hooked. The story telling was so addictive, the story itself so funny and strange enough to keep you entertained big time. Some parts weren't explained/explored much, but it's YA fantasy after all, so it's kinda OK. There's a love story, sure. But I see it primarily as a story of growing up and what does dreams mean to us, whether you're a child or an adult.
Probably not a good idea for Book Outlet to have 50% off sales.

do you ever find a synopsis of a book and all you can say is "THIS. this is the plot i've dreamt of writing since i was fourteen." this is that plot. this is that book. i'm only on page four and it's already a dream. (no... pun... intended?)
pick3 stars for this one. The story is adorable and I loved the concept and the fun, random dream adventures that Alice and Max experienced. Unfortunately, it did drag at some spots and I felt like it could've been cut down a bit to remove some unnecessary drama towards the end. Regardless, a fun read that was a nice break from some heavier picks! #lrc25 #freespace
pickQuesto libro riesce a mixare vari generi senza risultare banale e ridicolo. La trama è originale e diversa dai soliti YA. L'atmosfera é quasi magica e onirica, lo rende allo stesso tempo romantico, divertente con una nota fantasy. Nonostante sia per adolescenti è piuttosto casto senza scene troppo spinte e lo rende una perfetta lettura anche per i più giovani. Ho amato questo volume con i suoi buffi protagonisti, sopratutto Max è entrato nel mio ♥

pickAmazing book! I didn't know much about it when I started it but I was swept away. The magical realism, the romance, the flaws and humor that created really balanced, likable characters. Emotionally complex and adorably funny. Really great read!
pickA fun, cute, easy read. The story of a girl who dreams of her perfect guy an eventually ends up face to face with him in reality.
pickA sweet and fluffy contemporary perfectly suited to lovers of young adult romance. The general concept could have been better developed, but the dream sequences add a fantastical and fun element to the story and it is a light and easy read.
Current read. Thought I'd give it a shot since everyone seems to be reading this!

I loved this one so much--I think the last time a book made me so effortlessly happy was ELEANOR & PARK. Sweet, funny, quirky, AND a visit to the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum? When I finished I was floating on air.

pickAlice has always dreamed of Max, as in they grew up together in their dreams. She switches high schools & meets the real Max, who pretends he doesn't know her. Prince's Kiss & Purple Rain make an appearance on p262, taking the book from good to special. Recommend for those obsessed w/dream fic 😴👫
