This alternates between tales of Longfellow‘s life and a modern church congregation as it prepares for its Christmas concert. Even if the tales from Longfellow‘s life didn‘t exactly compliment the stories from modern times, I truly enjoyed this book. The reader learns different perspectives among the church members and about their own struggles and hopes. This is more serious and meaningful compared to many sugary holiday reads.

The strength of this story was the complexity of the characters. The mystery wasn‘t all that shocking and was well signposted. This is a light pick.

Great on audible

Written by a Harvard grad, this story of Jack and Zoe who work towards their scientific belief that they have found a cure for aging. Pressure comes from Jacks upbringing to Zoe being a woman in science. Shows the pressure of academia and the money that can be gained from it but the money also becomes the means instead of the scientific result. Excellent read…shows the real pressure of being that scientist remembered and tenured.
