Nice to be back with Tempe Brennan in this one, set in North Carolina. Tempe is involved in a case as she deals with the changes in her personal life. She has quite a rocky time on this case, which has strange connotations of devil worshippers and witches.

Day 2 of #Scarathlon (where did Day One go 💀) and the #ScarathlonPhotoChallenge.

As soon as I see the word #Bones I immediately think of Kathy Reichs and the Tempe Brennan series, which all books in the series have bones in the title. The next one up for me, which I am hoping to read later this month, is Devil Bones.

Decent bones book. I feel like there were some issues that could have been more fleshed out that would have improved the story. Specifically dealing with Tempe's alcoholism and the whole Ryan situation.

Another good book in the series. I'm also really happy that Tempe didn't annoy me in this book.

2. Yep, but sadly just in my native German and in English. I'm not fluent enough in Spanish (or rather: I forgot too much of the language) to try reading Spanish books.

I read and liked a couple books in the series before I watched the TV series (which I didn't like as much). This installment wasn't my fave so far, but I definitely enjoyed it. I needed a palate cleanser/sure thing. 😉 I think the narrator is the same as at least some of the Stephanie Plum books.

I‘m awake and ready to get back into #24in48 Starting today off with Devil Bones by Kathy Reichs. I like the show ‘Bones‘ so will be interesting to see how I like this book.

Audiobook. Good narrator. It's only my second Reichs after long enough to forget everything. That's ok. Much tedious info dump for background. Characters seem a bit cartoony at times.

Audiobook version. Getting so much "reading" done while commuting!
