Why did I wait so long to start this series!!
Mimi Matthews and Cassandra Clare were new to me authors this year.
I read all of the Infernal Devices series and started The Last Hours (although I don‘t ever see myself going back to the The Mortal Instruments). I am looking forward to Chain of Thorns being released in 2023!
I bought a Kindle deal for a Mimi Matthews book, and fell down the rabbit hole of her historical romance series. I recommend checking her out if you like that genre!
My February reading stats from StoryGraph. Apparently I didn‘t read a single physical book - most of my reads ended up being library borrows from Hoopla and Libby. My favorite reads of the month included: The Infernal Devices series, Devil House, and The Nineties.

pickJust finished re-reading this series for probably the 5th time? They are honestly my all time favourite books! The adventure, the romance and the epilogue at the end of the final book take you on a rollercoaster of emotions from excitement to sadness. Worth a read for young and old alike.

Two of my favorite bookworms are William Herondale and Tessa Gray from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. They have an angsty, overly dramatic, rather typical ya fantasy type relationship intertwined with discussions of Vathek and A Tale of Two Cities and other books throughout the trilogy 🖤

pickWhat can I say ? Cassandra Clare is a legend. My favourite author of my favourite series, by far. A steampunk love story, with nearly every YA theme, as well as a badass female lead, whom I relate to so much. This book series will always be my #1 favourite. Shadowhunters will always have a place in my heart (Even though you've broke my heart a million times already)

pickIn the beginning I had problems, getting into these books, and especially everyone's love for Will Herondale was a mystery to me. But it all changed when I read the last book, giving him and Jem all the love I have in my heart. It's a real love triangle, where two boys do not only love one girl, but love each other more than anyone could understand. It's a different level and what made me cry in the end.
A prequel trilogy to The Mortal Instruments. I honestly loved it even more than the first series. Now the focus is on a few characters that showed up in passing in the original series. We learn a lot more about them, and more importantly we become invested in them. Still a fantasy series, with a hint of historical context as it takes place many years before the original series.
I'm enjoying this lovely Saturday with a good book and a cup of coffee. 📖☕💕

Honestly, this series is an all time favorite, I always seem to go back to it. The characters are really well built and developed and each one is imperfectly perfect.

I feel for Jem and Will but I was weighing more on Will to end up with Tessa 😄 even though I am okay with either of the two on who she will end up with. I usually don't like love triangles because I find it annoying but here if the story is anything like the love triangle in TID then I might make an exception

pickThis is a series that will always be dear to my heart! I already fell in love with the shadowhunter world in Cassandra Clare's series "The Mortal Instruments" but this trilogy is so much lovelier. In all kind of matters.
Will, Tessa and Jem are characters that will stick to your heart and which you won't forget. Same with all other characters. The story is so fascinating, the characters so true, the relationships amazing!
