#HumbleHarvest
For today‘s #Harvest prompt. It‘s been a while since I‘ve read this one (my audiobook was on CD) 😉 but I love Jane Goodall & this book has some good thoughtful information on eating for health & our planet‘s health & wellbeing. 💚

I've had a theme this month on reading Jane Goodall's works and learning more about where my food comes from. This book was the perfect combination of both to finish out the month. Relevant even when it was written decades earlier, she has made me look closer at how far my groceries traveled to get to me and if there is a better choice I could be making. It's amazing to consider what the world could be if more people thought like Jane.

One of those books that has stayed with me long after I read it about the food choices we make. #Harvest
Switching back to a vegan diet, and have borrowed this off the fab @toric
Having recently watched Dominion to fully understand and embrace the reason why I'm doing this (it is free for all to watch online), I am reading up on the subject too.
The dedication had me in tears, so we'll see how this goes...
In this book, Goodall talks about the things revolving around what we eat, and how current farming and other practices are destroying our environment.

#LyricalApril #earthsong Over the years these books and others like them have made me think about how the actions we take & the decisions we make--like the use of pesticides, how we treat the ocean, and what we choose to cook & eat--have a huge impact on the earth. I don't always make the right or best decisions but I like to think I make better ones thanks to these books. Even the older books have messages that still hold true today. 💚🌎🌳🐟🍴📚
This was a great read discussing the dangerous farming practices big business started and the scary outlook if we continue the path we're on, while offering ways each of us individually can make a change. It was informative, evenly distributing both facts and opinions. A great read calling for change by promoting the slow food movement. If you loved Animal Vegetable Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver, you'll enjoy this!
when you're reading about the horrors of meat packing plants & Jane Goodall mentions your little hometown specifically 😳😱😱😱😱
Day7 #readjanuary #booksaboutnature I read Reason for Hope ages ago because I have long admired/been fascinated by the treasure that is Jane Goodall. I read Harvest for Hope when I became interested in food & sustainability & love her stories & wisdom about the food choices we make. The audio book CD (read by Tippi Hedren) has been in my car for ages & I listen to it periodically. I got Seeds of Hope a few years ago but have yet to read it.🐵🐒💚
#WWW This week it's Jane Goodall! At one point in my life, I had the privilege of working as an intern at the Jane Goodall Institute. Jane was lovely to me, and it was equally lovely to meet so many wonderful people at the Institute. #rootsandshoots #knowledge #compassion #action
