#Pemberlittens Listening to Audio because of life and it's Juliet Stevenson. Then I read footnotes in the Annotated.

I don‘t own a lot of mugs, sadly - but my fave is one I actually received from a Litsy swap box years ago. And it just so happens to match my current read right now 😍

I've been saving my Persuasion socks to wear this month. And since I'm wearing them with my gardening boots here's a gardening quote:

Came home to fun mail from @CrowCAH ( #litsybookmarkswap) and an early bday surprise I‘m tucking away until Aug 21 from @Mitch (you have spoiled me ridiculously this past month) and BOTM, and my Annotated copy of Persuasion (#pemberlitten) so mail call at #litsysummercamp was pretty spectacular today-

A re-read, and still I was glued to the page and couldn't wait for THAT letter. You know the one. Now I'm in the mood for the film adaptations.

Reorganized the books on the shelf above my bed. They're the comfy books I like reaching for just to reread a line or paragraph I love.

Okay, Litsy. I need your advice. I started reading this version of Persuasion because I wanted to reread the book and thought the annotated version might be fun. There is literally a full page of notes opposite each page of text. Does a person really need that much trivia in their brain? Should I ditch this for one of my other editions or tough it out?

I had to leave work early because of a terrible migraine, but after ice and pain meds, I feel well enough to read. I had planned on the tagged book, but I‘m intimidated by the quantity of annotations - a full page of notes for each page of text! So, I think I‘m going to try a new-to-me romance author to see if that‘s more the speed my still aching head can handle. 🤞🏻

If you have never read it, you must even for that letter alone. ❤️I love these two quotes about Anne's anticipation of reading it and on the after effects of reading such a letter. #janeaustenknowsall
